A Stewardship Moment - We asked Cecily and Steve Fink to reflect on what Saint Gabriel means to them. And this is what Cecily shared recently:
A few years ago, Steve and I were in need of a new church home. We set out on our search, and Saint Gabriel's was our first visit. When we left, we felt that we could not have been so lucky to find the church for us on the first try. We continued visiting different churches for the better part of the year, and in the end, we found that our initial reaction to this building and the people here was correct. We had found our place in a faith-based community that felt like home. As we have both lived the majority our adult lives in the corporate world, Saint Gabriel's has definitely filled a void in our lives.
As we approach Stewardship Sunday, we look to find ways to keep Saint Gabriel's a thriving community for years to come. In addition to our financial commitment, Steve and I have been participating in several short-term projects in order to determine the best use of our time and talents. With each new project we have joined, we have been made to feel welcome and useful. We have been fortunate to be part of this community, and look forward to more and more ways that we can provide hope and faith to others within these walls, as well as to others outside this community.
